New York, NY, June 26, 2014 - SleekSleeves, a New England specialty retailer of accessories, walked a New York City runway at the June 10th amfAR Inspiration Gala presented by M·A·C Viva Glam and held at The Plaza in New York City. The black-tie benefit, hosted by Josh Duhamel, successfully raised more than $1.2 million for AIDS research. This year’s event marks the fifth annual “Inspiration”series for amfAR, which included a gala dinner, live auction and a men’s runway show.
The full-scale men’s runway show, celebrated men’s style and featured this year’s design theme of prints. Styled by New York City fashion stylist, William Graper, the show highlighted custom looks from the world’s top designers including: Alexander McQueen, Calvin Klein Collection, DKNY, Marc Jacobs, Kenneth Cole, Fendi, Ralph Lauren, among others. Also included in the show was SleekSleeves’ custom chevron stripe print, worn by Minkus and paired with a look by Duckie Brown, a Bond Street Hardware hat and Dr. Marten boots. “William’s talent is extraordinary and we couldn’t be happier that our custom sleeves were included in the show,” said Katie Burke of SleekSleeves. “With 18 patterns and vibrant colors, SleekSleeves aligned perfectly with the show’s “prints” theme.”
