SleekSleeves Creates New Movement to Help Raise Awareness and Community Support

The month of October brings a unique opportunity for those across the globe to raise awareness of the most common cancer among women in the U.S. - Breast Cancer. According to breastcancer.org, 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. At SleekSleeves, it’s our mission not only to raise awareness, but also to provide support for individuals and communities by offering a bit of style and fun to those on the path to recovery.

We’re proud to announce two exciting initiatives to inspire our social community, their friends, loved ones and others across the globe.

SleekSleeves Go Pink in Support of Breast Cancer Collection

Through a partnership with breastcancer.org, we’ve re-launched our “Go Pink” collection, which features the patterns Pink, Pretty in Pink, and Neon Pink in all of our sleeve models. 10% of the proceeds generated from the collection through October 31 will benefit breastcancer.org, the national nonprofit organization, which is “committed to providing the most reliable, complete, and up-to-date information about breast cancer.”

In addition to our specialty collection, we’re setting off on another support movement - #wearaband. Wear an Arm Band in support of a friend, loved one or the entire community of individuals facing medical challenges. SleekSleeves’ Arm Bands for PICC line coverage have been a source of protection, comfort and style for many.

Members of the Sleek community began to purchase them for others who were going through treatment and repurposing them once their treatment concluded. Wearing a PICC line while undergoing treatment for any disease, breast cancer included, can bring about physical and emotional challenges.

So, let’s rally, support them, and #wearaband!
